I’m due with my first sometime in the last week of October to the first week of November, so come May-Aug I will be in my second trimester. I’m 11 weeks now and not showing, just bloated.

For the summer, should I get an actual maternity swimsuit, or should I just get a regular tankini style swimsuit, to cover up any bump I might have, since I will only be second trimester during swimsuit season?

Thanks for the help :)
It really depends on your size and how your belly grows, and at this point it’s hard to tell how big you’re going to be.
You might be surprised. I was due November 2008 with my daughter, and over the summer I was pretty big. I couldn’t have gotten away with a tankini. I either wore a bikini and let my whole big belly hang out, or I wore my maternity bathing suit.
This year, I’m due October 28th and I will wear my maternity bathing suit. I just felt more comfortable in it since it’s designed to fit around pregnant bellies. But like I said, it’s up to you. If you only have a small bump then a tankini should be fine, but if you find that you’re like me and have a pretty big belly by 20-22 weeks, then you might want to look into getting a maternity bathing suit.

Congrats~

I’m in need of a new swimsuit for the summer that will look good on a uk ten/twelve. Any suggestions ?

Im a 17 year old girl and i would suggest this hope it helps.

Well if your curvy in the thighs try a mixed bikini. A dark color on the bottom visually trims your lower half as a printed top brings the attention to your upper body, Stripes fill put your top half to balance you out. Or you could try a cut out one piece. Crazy cutouts are an ultra sexy way to show off your figure while covering up your bottom half, the long strips of fabric draw the eye up and down, visually stretching you.

If you have a curvy tummy try a long tankini. Its a cute, comfortable way to wear a two piece. Plus the print helps camouflage any bulges. You can also draw the eye upward with bold prints on the tops.

If your Curvy all over try a apron tankini. The back is open, so it glides over your curves without binding you-and it lets you revel a little skin in a pretty way. Low cut tops shows off your bust. You can also try a deep v one piece the long neck line draws the eye down to elongate and slim your body while it accentuates your curvy bust line. Ruffles also draw attention to your neck line.

If you have Full Bust try a banded halter. the band under your bust- and the thick ties around your neck- gives you great support, so there no risk of falling out. Beads on the strings of the halter frame your neckline very pretty. Also there is a under wire top. Its a cut like a bra, so it holds you in place and creates great cleavage- so you can highlight your curves.

I’ve recently lost weight. My bras are slightly padded and my swim suit squashes most of what i do have. What can I do to make my boobs look about the same size as usual?

Buy pads, cut them to the shape of each boob of your swim suit, and then cut slits in the sides of the inside mesh-like material of the suit, and insert the pads. Though- make sure the slits are small even though you may have to work to jam the pads in and even them out by pressing your pointer and thumb together, grasping the suit, and moving your fingers around until the pads are in-place.
Good luck! Hope I could be of help. x
