Is it cheaper to buy swimwear before spring/summer starts?
Just curious ![]()
Cheaper to buy swimwear (bikinis and the like) at the end of winter or any time before summer?
After back to school sales they are cheap.
Its cheaper if you mix & match tops and bottoms.
Old Navy had bikinis for 97cents during the fall time last year. Most were odd sizes and didn’t match but you just have to not care if it’s last seasons stuff and be willing to do the work of looking to find the cute deals!
Hope that helps!

Its a common misconception that they are cheaper at certain types of the year.
When it’s cheapest is simply when it’s on sale. Sometimes you can get them SUPER cheap at the END of summer because they have some on clearance (80-90% off?) However, sometimes there are really good pre-summer sales and even mid summer sales. You can also buy swimwear at a discount seller (walmart) or online for even cheaper.
The reason people say its cheaper "offseason" is likely because thats when sales TEND to be. Thats not always true.
You see this in car sales all the time- People say 4×4s are cheaper in summer and motorcycles are cheaper in winter. That is not true at all- because less people sell their motorcycles in winter, and a lot of buyers are there trying to "save money" and they end up paying the same price or more. Its all about supply and demand- and prices are cheapest when there are a LOT of bikinis for sale, but not a lot of buyers.
This can be before the season, after the season, or during the season if someone makes/sells too many of them and needs to get rid of some(think a few years ago when the economy dropped- clothing stores couldnt sell all their supply)
So in short, usually the cheapest is after summer, followed by before summer, followed by during summer- but thats not a hard anf fast rule. sometimes they are more expensive right before summer because thats when all the new styles and designs are coming out, so people are buying buying buying- which means the cost will be higher.
hope that helps!

YES because they are trying to get rid of the old out of season inventory so they put that on sale

It’s cheaper to buy them after summer when they are clearing out the summer stuff. (: Save it for next year

Definitely right after summer ends. Everything is marked down because the stores want to get rid of it. I’m sure the same goes for online. Hope this helps

The end of summer. Like now! In fact there’s an ad for up to 50% off Victoria’s Secret bikinis right next to this question.
