How do people keep their bikini area so smooth?
I’ve been shaving my bikini area for a while now and I’ve realized that I NEVER get as smooth as a look (I always get ingrown hair, irritation, bumps ect) as other people. It seems like people can wear a bikini everyday for a week and still be smooth. If I’m going to be wearing a bathingsuit everyday for a week I have to shave every couple of days and then I get horrible razorburn and irritation. What’s the deal?
Wax it, or if that doesn’t look into laser hair removal.

this happens to pretty much everyon for the most part. even me so i understand yr frustration. try nair, this wayy it takes the hair out by the head and takes even longer to grow back in(:
and use a nice lotion to help it stay smooth and unirritated no scented ones down there either.!

I shaved my bikini every day and it was perfect. I go to the beach every day.
I used to have the same problem and I’d wonder how everyone else is so smooth.
Here is the trick:
Take a hot shower. Let your skin just soak for several minutes - or shave something less sensitive first (i.e. legs). Then take a rough body brush/loofah/body scrubber and apply a body wash with extra moisturizing componenets such Dove. Scrub the entire bikini area in small circles to exfoliate, draw the hair out for a closer shave, get rid of dead skin, and reduce irritation.
After you exfoliate, apply shaving cream/gel, and shave in DOWNWARD/SIDEWAYS motions. WHATEVER you do, do NOT shave in the opposite direction of hair growth (like you normally do) on your bikini area. That is how you get bumps. Instead, the exfoliating gives you a closer shave, but never shave upwards in this spot.
Afterwards, apply lotion (like St. Ives, Jergens, etc.) to the bikini area, avoiding getting too close to the actual lady parts.
Ta-dahhh! The lotion replaces lost moisture from the exfoliating/razor, so you should be okay to shave every day like I did.
I’ve done this for years, and I finally just got a brazilian wax, just because I like having being totally clean of hair, and shaving every day gets a little tedious.
But you don’t have to shave every day if it doesn’t bother you, I just liked to. These steps will guarantee you a perfect bikini line, I promise I RARELY got bumps or ingrowns, even shaving every single day!

wax your bikini line. i started to do that and i will never go back to shaving. so smooth, no ingrown hairs, no bumps, and hair follicles are lighter, and it takes longer to grow back
