Is their a way to sew swim suit cups into a dance bra?

I just bought a new dance bra (tan seamless bra with clear straps and a clear back strap) but the lining was to thin it’s almost see through! it has less padding than a sports bra and im worried and showing on stage. The bra does have two very very thin pieces of fabric sewed together. Is their any way i can sew the extra swim suit padding i have in between the two pieces without ruining the bra? My recital is soon and i don’t have time to get a new bra please help!

Hi Liza,

Forget sewing anything in - that will be a disaster. Personally I really don’t think you should worry about it - with a bra and a leo (I assume) there’s zero chance of anything significant showing through at a distance - forget about it!

That said, if you’re ultra-sensitive about this for some reason the fix is easy - get some petals/nipple covers (google is your friend), or if you don’t have time/money for that just stick a couple of (thin) band-aids over your nipples - job done! :)

Unless you know EXACTLY what you’re doing, I would say take it to a tailor and ask what they can do about it.
